In Guaymallén since 1972
Three generations of the same family in the same workshop. We started making caravan windows; since 1998 we build the whole house.
The short version
Taller Italia opened in 1972 in Guaymallén, Mendoza. The family grandfather set it up after arriving from Italy, and it did not build motorhomes: it built windows for caravans. That is where the name comes from, and it was never changed.
That was the trade of the house for twenty-six years. The windows on a good share of the caravans running around Mendoza came out of this workshop.
In 1998 the business changed course outright: it dropped the windows and went straight to building complete motorhomes. The grandfather and the father were still on the floor, and the third generation was already working inside.
Today the workshop builds motorhomes and nothing else, in the same district and in the same way: one unit at a time, measured against the actual van, finished before the next one starts.

The whole process happens under one roof: insulation, cabinetry, electrics, plumbing, gas, upholstery and finishing. We do not subcontract the part that decides how good the unit turns out.

The team
People who have been doing this for years
There are six of us, and every trade happens inside the workshop: welding and metalwork, cabinetry and joinery, upholstery, plumbing, electrics and electronics. Three or four units leave each year, one at a time, finished before the next one starts.

What happens after handover
Warranty on fitted equipment
Fitted appliances carry a two-year warranty: fridge, air conditioning, heating and the rest of the electrical equipment.
Warranty on bodywork and cabinetry
Cabinetry and bodywork carry a lifetime warranty. If something comes up, we are still here to sort it out.
Service and spare parts
A service checks that every appliance works and that the electrical system and the pipework and tanks are fault free. Spare parts we hold in stock are replaced on the spot; the rest are ordered from the supplier.
Handover and walkthrough
At handover we explain how everything works and then you try it yourself: it takes about an hour and a half. You leave with the manuals, and phone support stays open for whenever you need it.
